Good Shepherd Nursing Home District, with skilled and assisted living facilities in Laurie and Versailles, is seeking a District Educator. This position coordinates, plans and provides a variety of learning experiences and educational support for our licensed and non-licensed staff. The District Educator evaluates learning needs of staff and attains the facility educational goals and objectives. This position is responsible for coordinating in-services that increases knowledge and understanding of nursing practice as it relates to skilled nursing. This position will review and create processes for Quality Assurance and Improvement plans.

The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years working as a Registered Nurse, 1 to 2 years in a Skilled Nursing setting and Acute Care experience a plus. Ability to work effectively with people individually and in groups. Ability to keep up to date with current Skilled nursing facilities state and federal requirements. This position will train the next generation of CNA’s and CMT’s and candidates must be CNA Instructor certified or eligible (minimum of two years nursing experience and at least one-year experience in a LTC facility within in the last five years). Candidates for this position will also teach CPR classes and must be certified instructor or eligible.
